The Gate Valve is an intelligent passage management device meticulously developed, researched, and manufactured by our company, specifically designed as a high-tech solution for smart management of pedestrian access routes. This equipment seamlessly integrates mechanical, electronic, microprocessor-based control systems with various identity recognition technologies. By incorporating optional identity verification systems along with security protection devices, alarm mechanisms, and directional indicators, it enables comprehensive intelligent control and management of passages. It is primarily deployed at dedicated entry/exit channels for pedestrians, bicycles, and electric vehicles in residential communities, enterprises, institutions, schools, government agencies, factories, tourist attractions, and recreational venues.

V. System Working Principle

  • Turn on the power; after 10 seconds, the system enters operational mode (do not stand in the aisle during self-check).
  • Upon receiving unlock signals from readers, facial recognition devices, or other sources, the main control board performs comprehensive analysis and sends a valid control signal to the motor, switching the direction indicator light to a green arrow for traffic flow. The motor then operates; once its sensor detects that the gate is fully unlocked, the motor stops rotating.
  • The motor rotates by a certain angle, opening the gate to allow pedestrians to pass.
  • Once pedestrians pass through the passage according to the traffic light signals, infrared sensors monitor their entire crossing process and continuously send signals to the main control board until complete passage is confirmed.
  • If a pedestrian illegally enters the passage, the system will block their access and trigger an audible and visual alarm until the pedestrian exits the passage, at which point the alarm is dismissed.

VII. Equipment Installation and Commissioning

  1. Prepare the necessary tools for installing the product (impact drill, expansion screw, adjustable wrench, set of hex key wrenches, screwdriver, electrical adhesive, wire cutter), and verify all accessories against the packing list.
  2. After confirming the system composition and operating mode and completing overall planning, proceed with installation preparation;
  3. After establishing the foundation surface for equipment installation, arrange the equipment properly;
  4. After determining the hole locations, drill the holes and pre-install M12 or M10 anchor bolts or expansion bolts;
  5. Route the high-voltage cables and low-voltage cables separately through 3/4″ PVC conduits and bury them in concrete at the designated locations (refer to the product wiring diagram).
  6. Move each chassis to its respective installation position and align them individually with the grounding bolt positions;
  7. Verify that the system components and operating mechanisms are correct; proceed to the next step only after confirmation.
  8. Open the cabinet door and select one unit as the reference point (preferably the central unit), align the base bolt holes with the corresponding grounding bolts, and pre-tighten the nuts.
  9. Open the door of the adjacent chassis, align the mounting bolt holes with the ground bolts and the predetermined reference points, then pre-tighten the nuts; repeat this procedure for multiple units.
  10. Refer to the product wiring diagram to connect the power cable and network cable, and install the system protection ground wire.
  11. Only after the status check and functional debugging are completed successfully, tighten the ground nut.

VIII. Precautions for Installation and Use

  1. After installing the equipment, it may only be put into normal use after passing status inspection and functional debugging; please disconnect the power supply before installation or maintenance.
  2. Ensure that the system protection grounding is properly connected to prevent personal injury;
  3. Buried PVC conduits shall be installed at a depth greater than 60 mm, with an exposed height exceeding 50 mm, and feature an outlet bend to prevent water ingress. It is recommended to use power cables with a diameter of at least 2.0 mm.
  4. Do not modify the internal wiring of the product arbitrarily;
  5. Do not open the product cover while in use;
  6. If the product is intended for outdoor use, a cement platform 100 mm to 200 mm high shall be constructed at the installation site to prevent moisture ingress, along with additional rainproof and sunshade facilities such as a canopy.
  7. Keep control buttons and remote devices out of reach of children;
  8. Do not use this device during thunderstorms to prevent damage;
  9. Please take good care of children and refrain from playing in passageways. Children under 1 meter in height must be accompanied by an adult to ensure safe passage.
  10. It is prohibited to allow individuals on the opposite side to enter while swiping your card. The turnstile features a reverse-opening mechanism that may cause injury from being caught.
  11. Strictly adhere to the "one person, one card" policy: do not use a single card for multiple entries, and avoid following others behind you—the turnstiles have anti-following features that may cause injury if you trail behind someone.
  12. Please read the card correctly to enter the passage; do not enter until the direction indicator turns green and the gates are opened; when passing through the passage, avoid lingering for extended periods.
  13. When the equipment is powered off, do not forcibly push, pull, or impact the gate;

IX. Equipment Maintenance Instructions

  1. The channel gate is an extremely reliable device that performs perfectly even in high-flow environments, requiring minimal maintenance.
  2. The channel gates require regular cleaning, with particular emphasis on maintaining cleanliness of the beam windows. Marble and glass doors should typically be cleaned weekly using a non-corrosive detergent and a soft, lint-free cloth. For stainless steel surfaces, it is recommended to wipe them with WD-40, a dehumidifying and rust-preventing cleaner.
  3. It is recommended to open the container every six months to inspect, clean, and lubricate the equipment. Check for any loose mechanical components and tighten them as needed. Annual maintenance should be performed, with replacement of worn parts. The power supply must be disconnected before opening the container (ensure proper grounding).
  4. Use compressed air to remove dust from electronic components, and use a vacuum cleaner to clean the bottom.
  5. For infrared acrylic mirrors, use a non-corrosive cleaning solution and a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning.
  6. Before reinserting the cover plate, further inspect the interior of the chassis to ensure that electrical component wiring is intact, verify the availability of maintenance tools, and remove any debris.
